Forrest Cormany began instruction on the pipes with John McKernan in the late 1960’s, playing with the L.A. Scots Junior Pipe Band. He progressed to the senior band in the 1970’s under Pipe Major Jimmy Thomson and Pipe Major Calvin Biggar. Forrest played with the L.A. Scots Pipe Band in the 1980’s and 1990’s. His tune, Two Crowns for Richard, appears in the Vortex Street Collection.
