John Goff started his bagpiping career in San Diego in 1984. Throughout his career he has won numerous prizes including the Campbell J. Naismith Amateur Pibroch Award and the WUSPBA Pipe Band Championship for Grade 2 with the House of Scotland Pipe Band. He has also played with BCPBA champions Portland Metro Pipe Band and the Grade 2 Cameron Highlanders Pipe Band.
While with The House of Scotland Pipe Band he piped in the Rod Stewart video "Every Beat of my Heart".
John has also played pipes with bands outside of the traditional bagpiping world including Merzbow and Neurosis. He is the Cascadia Piper and can be found on Facebook. John resides in Oregon.
